Ruaha national park

 The Ruaha national park is with 12 950 km2 only a little bit smaller than the Serengeti. In the north area the Kizigo and Rungwa River Game Reserve located. Through the national park the river Ruaha is flowing and thereby attracts animals like hippos, crocodiles, lions, wild dogs, hyenas, jackals, impalas, giraffes and ostriches.

How to get there

You can reach Ruaha national park from Dar es Salaam on road (about 10hrs drive via Mikumi and Iringa) or from Arusha via Dodoma. By flight from Dar es Salaam, Selous, Serengeti, Arusha, Iringa and Mbeya.

May - December: big mammals, predators,

January - April: birds, landscape, flora
