Serengeti

The Serengeti covers 30.000 sq km of endless rolling plains, which reach up to the Kenyan border and extends to Lake Victoria. The park is teaming with stunning wildlife, wildebeest, gazelles and zebras. In May or early June you can witness the annual migration of millions of animals in search of water and forage as the seasons change.

The word "Serengeti" is taken from the Maasai language and means "wide plain". In the Southeast you can find the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, built through volcanism.

The Area of the Serengeti consists of the "Serengeti Nationalpark", which is one of the biggest and most famous Nationalparks in the world. Since 1981 it belongs to the UNESCO-World Heritages.
