Population

Tanzania has about 37 million inhabitants. There are up to 130 different ethnic groups found in Tanzania. The biggest groups are Sukuma and Nyamwezi (21%), followed by the Swahili (9%), Hehe and Bena (7%), Haya (6%), Makonde (6%) and the most famous Maasai (2%).
