Tarangire national park The Tarangire national park is located 120km from Arusha south east of Manyara. This park has a particularly dense wildlife population between June - October. This national park is home to thousands of elephants, and in the dry season game migrates to Tarangire because of the Tarangire River, which carries enough water throughout the year. This park is symbolized by the Baobab tree, growing in open acacia woodland. How to get there: From Arusha or Lake Manyara by car. Go on a tarred road to Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Activities: Game drives Best time to visit: All year round. (June-September: highest densitiy of animals, dry season)
